So here is a quick hack you can do to protect the frame on your bike. Ever notice that if you lay the bike down or up against a wall the handlebars can bang into the top tube of the frame? Well, some bike manufacturers did and are looking for you to pay for one. F-dat son. Get you one for free.
Take any aluminum can, cut it up, wrap that shit round yo frame and throw two zip ties on there and your done. A couple tips:
1. Make sure the protector can is wide enough to wrap all the way around the frame. What will happen if you don’t is the edges will fray up and slice your leg open while pedaling….not good.
2. Wrap the zip ties as far forward and backward on the improvised protection as possible. This will ensure not to fray front and back.
3. Tighten the zip ties around the bottom of the tube so you don’t have to look at them and it looks cleaner. Done and Done.
